Pastor Steve Garza committed his life to Christ in 2000 and has faithfully served his community for over nineteen years. Through church planting, global missions, and leadership mentoring, he lives to build strong foundations centered in Jesus Christ.

From Rhema graduation to church planting

2008 — 2015

Early Ministry & Global Missions

Graduating from Rhema Bible College in 2008 with an emphasis on pastoral leadership served as the defining catalyst for Pastor Steve’s ministry career. Serving as an associate pastor, he spearheaded youth ministries to transform younger generations while financing and launching global mission trips across Mexico and South Africa.

2016 — Present

The Rock Church & Genesis Team

On April 17, 2016, Pastor Steve officially launched The Rock Church, driven by a core mandate to love the unlovable and reach the unreachable. Partnering in 2017 with his spiritual father Pastor GF Watkins, he leads the Genesis Team—equipping men to embrace biblical responsibility, integrity, and honor in daily life.
