Pastor Darlene Garza

Pastor Darlene Garza serves as Co-Pastor and Founder of The Rock Church. She is a pastor, mentor, Bible teacher, worshipper, and leader with more than 25 years of ministry experience and over two decades of leadership development.

Having grown up in ministry, Pastor Darlene developed a love for the local church and the presence of God at an early age. Throughout her years of ministry, she has led small groups, provided pastoral care, mentored individuals one-on-one, discipled believers, developed ministry leaders, and served people both inside and outside the walls of the church.

Her heart for missions has taken her throughout the United States, Mexico, and Africa, sharing the hope and love of Jesus Christ. Whether ministering across the world or serving her local community, her desire remains the same: to see lives transformed by the Gospel.

Pastor Darlene is especially passionate about ministering to women and helping them discover who they are in Christ. Her desire is to see women rooted in God's Word, confident in their identity, and equipped to flourish as godly wives, mothers, leaders, and women of influence.

She holds a Master’s Degree in Theology and is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Theology, continuing to equip herself to teach, disciple, and train others in the truth of God's Word.

A passionate worshipper, Pastor Darlene also serves on The Rock Church worship team. She believes worship is far more than music—it is a lifestyle of surrender and a response to who God is. Whether she is preaching, teaching, mentoring, worshipping, or writing, her greatest desire is to glorify Jesus and help others experience His presence.

Dr. Steve and Pastor Darlene, ministry is more than something they do—it is a calling they have embraced together.

For 28 years of marriage, they have walked side by side through family, ministry, leadership, and the calling God has placed upon their lives. Together, they are committed to building The Rock Church as a place where people can encounter Jesus, experience authentic community, grow in God's Word, discover their purpose, and be equipped to impact the world around them.

They are the proud parents of two children, Stephen and Genesis, and the grateful grandparents of two beautiful granddaughters. Family is deeply important to them, and they believe one of the greatest Kingdom legacies we can leave is a generation that knows, loves, and follows Jesus.

Above every title, degree, accomplishment, or ministry position, their greatest desire is simple:

To know Christ, to make Him known, and to give God all the glory.

Meet Our Pastors

Dr. Steve and Pastor Darlene Garza are the founders and pastors of The Rock Church in Seguin, Texas, where they share a heart to build a Christ-centered, Spirit-filled church that strengthens families, develops leaders, disciples believers, and reaches the community with the life-changing message of Jesus Christ.

Together, they bring more than two decades of ministry and leadership experience, with a shared passion for seeing people encounter the presence of God, discover their identity in Christ, grow in biblical truth, and boldly walk in their God-given purpose.

At the heart of their ministry is a simple conviction: people are transformed through Jesus, His Word, and authentic relationships. They believe the local church should be a place where people can belong, grow, be discipled, discover their gifts, and be equipped to make a Kingdom impact in their homes, churches, workplaces, and communities.

Lead Pastor Dr. Steve Garza

Dr. Steve Garza serves as Lead Pastor and Founder of The Rock Church. He is a pastor, mentor, author, and passionate advocate for biblical leadership and godly masculinity.

For more than twenty years, Dr. Steve has invested in developing people through pastoral care, one-on-one mentoring, small groups, discipleship, and leadership development. He has a particular passion for helping men move beyond simply knowing what the Bible says about godly manhood to practically living it out as husbands, fathers, leaders, and men of integrity.

Dr. Steve holds a Doctor of Ministry degree, and his teaching brings together a strong biblical foundation and practical application. He believes lasting transformation does not come through information alone, but through a genuine relationship with God, biblical discipleship, mentorship, accountability, and a community of believers committed to growing together.

He also firmly believes that strong leaders help build strong congregations. As Co-Founder and Vice President of The I AM Organization, Dr. Steve is passionate about strengthening the Body of Christ by equipping and supporting ministry leaders through biblical guidance, leadership development, accountability, and practical support.

Outside of ministry, Dr. Steve enjoys fishing, hunting, exploring the Texas Hill Country, and spending time with his family.
